Pre-Conference Workshop:
Current and New Technologies in Genomics and Proteomics
Wednesday, February 24, 2010
15:00-18:00
(Included in conference registration - pre-enrollment is required)
This workshop will focus on practical aspects of both current and newly emerging technologies being applied to genomic and proteomic research. There will be short didactic presentations from industry and academic scientists, and interactive question-and-answer sessions.
Current technologies to be discussed will include multiparameter flow cytometry, multiplexed bead-based assays, and gene expression microarrays. Newly emerging technologies may include nanoimmunoassays, microfluidic real-time PCR, nanostring gene expression platforms, or others to be determined.
The workshop is intended for anyone interested in optimizing current genomic/proteomic technologies or implementing new ones, including principal investigators or senior scientists as well as technical personnel.
