Airport and Airport Transfers
San Francisco International Airport (SFO), the “gateway to the Pacific,” is a world-class airport serving tens of millions of domestic and international passengers annually.
In addition to being one of the world’s 30 busiest airports, SFO was the first major U.S. airport to achieve 100 percent fully automated and integrated baggage screening. Today, efficient operations ensure our passenger screening wait times are among the shortest in the nation.

Transportation from San Francisco International Airport is available by taxicab and airport express bus. Taxicab fare from San Francisco International is approximately $30.

Climate & Clothing
San Francisco's climate is characteristic of California’s Mediterranean climate with mild, wet winters and dry summers. Since it is surrounded on three sides by water, San Francisco's climate is strongly influenced by the cool currents of the Pacific Ocean which tends to moderate temperature swings and produce a remarkably mild climate with little seasonal temperature variation. The dry period of May to October is mild to warm, with average high temperatures of 64-70°F (17-21°C) and lows of 51-56°F (10-13°C). The rainy period of November to April is cool with high temperatures of 56-64°F (13-17°C) and lows of 46-51°F (7-10°C). On average, temperatures exceed 75°F (24°C) 28 days a year.
February Average high °F (°C): 60 (16)
February Average low °F (°C): 48 (9)

Just ask when you are not sure if tip is included. Taxi drivers, hairdressers, etc. are also normally tipped 15%. Bellhops, porters, doormen, etc. generally receive at least $1 per suitcase or per service rendered. Coffee and food counters often have a tip cup next to the cash register; spare change is always appreciated.
