Dear Colleagues,

It is our pleasure to invite all of you to attend the 3^rd International Conference on Transplantomics and Biomarkers in Organ Transplantation organized by the The Transplantation Society exploring the cutting edges of functional genomics, proteomics and genetics for transplantation. The Transplantomics 2012 Conference will be held in La Jolla/San Diego at the Hilton Torrey Pines Hotel adjacent to the campus of The Scripps Research Institute and Scripps Green Hospital. We promise to cover not only what is happening within the field of transplantation today but also the latest advances in genomic knowledge and the incredible technologies developing to enable the next generation of transplantation research.

In addition to an exciting daily schedule of expert lecturers there will also be presentations of selected abstracts and posters as well as exhibits from many technology companies serving this growing field. Most importantly, the conference will provide time to talk to the visiting experts and your colleagues to develop new collaborations or simply to further understand the complex implications of the latest “omic” discoveries.

It is also important to add that this magnificent meeting site is overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Several miles of beach and the hiking trails of the Torrey Pines State Park are just a short walk away. Transportation to and from the San Diego Airport is readily available and transportation to local sites such as the world famous San Diego Zoo, Sea World and Animal Park can all be arranged by the Hotel.

Our objective is to equal if not exceed the high bar of expectations set for us by the previous two Transplantomics Conferences held in San Francisco, USA and Barcelona, Spain.
